Welcome. This blogsite is a place to share and extend the learning that is happening in Rm 22. It is a place for the sharing of student work, links to sites that might help you with your homework or build on things we discuss at school. There is a message board where you can communicate with the rest of the class: http://www.wallwisher.com/wall/banksaveroom22. Enjoy exploring the site and e-mail me anything you would like to share on the blog:-) Ms Watson

THE ARTS

Recorder
In music we are learning to play the recorder. Make sure that you are practising at home. Remember to use your tongue with a constant flow of air so that it doesn't sound breathy when you play.
Here is a fingering chart that can help you remember your notes.

Singing
We have been learning the song 'Welcome Home' by Dave Dobbyn. This song was written as a way of welcoming new immigrants to NZ. It was also a counter to racist comments that are sometimes made about new immigrants coming to NZ. I have included the link to the official music video below.

Watch the video and think about how it shows the theme/message that Dave Dobbyn wants to put across in his song.
