I posted some links earlier in the evening that will help you out with your debate topic. I would strongly suggest that you use this website for your research. It's called 'Debatepedia' and has a whole section devoted to your topic. There are links to pros and cons pages, background information, links to sites that might help, explorations of arguments etc.
Check it out and make use of it to ensure that you have a strongly argued and well researched debate. We will draw out of a hat on Monday to decide which team will affirm (agree that space research spending IS justified) and which team will negate (disagree and argue that space research spending CAN'T be justified).
