Mathew wrote this poem as part of his home learning. I really liked the way he thought about what the boat experience would have been like and reflected on it in his poem.
Horrible at sea.
I hated people dying.
It was terrible.
At least we had food.
Where we slept was really bad.
Not enough doctors.
When we got to land.
I thought it would be better.
But it was swampy.
